The Pall Ring is the most widely used convensional random tower packings. These filters has a  higher surface area and lower pressure drop as compared to the corresponding size of Raschig Rings. The Pall Ring is widely used in a variety of chemical fertilizer and petrochemical industries for the distillation, liquid-liquid extraction, solvent recovery and gas absorption operations.

According to the size of the pall rings, pall rings are available in thicknesses of 0.2mm to 1.5mm.
